Acute Founder Case

This horse became acutely lame 3 days after a vaccine from tractor supply was given. The clinical signs were similar to horses that got into the grain bin, ate too much green grass, etc. Weight shifting lameness, especially on the front feet. Interestingly this horse was NOT very sensitive to hoof testers. This case illustrates how valuable the venogram can be when diagnosing and treating laminitis. His x-rays looked pretty normal, and surprisingly, not very sensitive to hoof testers.
